How To Disable Integrated Graphics Card? | Disabling and Enabling Onboard Graphics (Step by Step)

I explain how to disable integrated or onboard graphics card in this video through the device manager.

The method I talk about is fairly simple here is using the Device Manager to disable or enable the integrated graphics card.

There are many reasons why this information may come in handy. For instance, if you want to troubleshoot if your onboard graphics card is causing certain graphical issues, you can disable it to see if the problem persists.

It should also be noted that if you have two graphics card, then disabling the integrated graphics card will not switch all the image processing to the dedicated graphics card.

You may also have concerns regarding whether it is safe to disable the integrated graphics card or not. I explain in this video further.

It worked for me by downloading and installing the drivers using NVIDIA GeForce Experience.

if your screen goes black that means your HDMI is plugged into your motherboard and not your graphics card, check the back of your PC and make sure you switch it. If it’s still black just restart it/turn it off and back on then you should be good. You’re welcome literally just happened to me and i was freaking out.

Worked just fine I have a i7-12650H with a rtx 3060 and using the integrated graphics card was causing my laptop to have stutters when playing high fps games like fortnite, apex legends, and R6, and now it is fixed.

If somebody using here VoxEdit o similiar you need to force the JAVA VM to use te Nvidia/AMD GPU in the control panel

breaks ur pc dont do it,

if u were victim to this and ur screen is black the truth is that the computer is on, but since you turned off ur graphics card its not viewable, but don’t freak out, you can either fix this in safe mode on windows or you can plug in your display port or hdmi to your dedicated gpu

For everyone having black screens just put ur hdmi cord or something u use into the gpu, not motherboard, since u dont have intergrated graphics.
