How To Migrate WordPress Site to New Host (2024)

And you want to move your website to a new host
You can do this easily by following our 3 simple steps.

📌 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀

First, check where your website is currently hosted.

Step 1 : To Get Hosting
Choose your hosting provider, we recommand “WebSpaceKit”,

Once open, Go to plans and choose your plan,
Next choose your domain, as we already have a domain
Select ‘I will use my existing domain’, enter your domain & click ‘Use’
Next, choose your billing cycle, fill your details & make payment.

Step 2 : To Copy your WordPress Site to the New Host
Login to your WordPress dashboard
Now to copy your website, install ‘Migrate guru’ plugin
Once installed, enter your email & click ‘Migrate site’,
Next select your new hosting provider,
since WebSpaceKit has cPanel access, you can select that.
Next enter sFTP details, check your mail inbox for the details
Once entered, click ‘Migrate’.

Step 3: To Add New IP Address to your Domain
Go to your domain registrar, where you purchased your domain name.
In DNS settings, change the IP address to a new host IP address.
To get the IP address of new host, open the mail from your hosting provider,
Now delete the IP Address of old host and add the IP address of new host
Once done, check your hosting in hosting finder tool

To activate SSL on your website
, under ‘your active product/service’,
click ‘Your domain name ► cPanel’.
Search for SSL, click ‘SSL/TLS status’,
Next click ‘The Checkbox’ near domain, then click ‘Run auto SSL’

So, this how you can move your website to a new host.

So quick and easy. Thanks for the tutorial. What an awesome migration plugin! The only thing that was different for me is that the DNS records are provided by my website host, not the domain host. This means that I need to go to my domain host (in my case, my old website host) and update the nameservers to the new host. Then from the cPanel account at the new host I can manage the DNS records if I need to change anything.

1 of my client already made the site in Wix. I need to resign the site in word press and need to design a site under a newly creating subdomain. As I know we cannot really take back up from wix to use for new Word press site building.
I want to know with out disturbing Wix site (keeping it live), how I can prepare a word press website in Hostinger (hosting) and create a subdomain for it. Shall I add the domain name in Hostinger & create the website (both main & new subdomain), once site creation is complete, if I point the IP address & name server it will work fine? Will this cause the Wix site unavailable during my wordpress site building process? Please advice...
