Why I'm quitting YouTube (Wrestling for Jiu-Jitsu Update)

Today I just wanted to discuss the upcoming changes in my Wrestling for Jiu-Jitsu channel.

I loved doing what I was doing with the BJJ community, but through deep thought and reflection, I realized that I was not doing my best and that some big changes needed to occur.

I hope you guys understand and stick with me as we start to rebrand the channel and focus more on answering Q&As regarding Wrestling and BJJ.

Sad the technique videos are going away. Have 2 of your instructionals and love them but still enjoy the technique videos on YT. You are always my go-to. Hope you do a seminar in KY soon, would love to take one

Honestly excited for the change. I have one question for you already. As someone who also comes from a college wrestling background, I personally feel like BJJ practices are a bit easier than college wrestling practices (not always but on average). I know there are various factors such as training partners, my own pace of drilling, and different positional training that can all make it easier or harder. However, I'm just wondering from a broader perspective. Should I accept that BJJ is just a little less demanding than a college level wrestling practice or should I be trying to get in even more workouts outside of BJJ practice to try to exhaust myself?

I only found you because of YouTube. It’s not common to get a high level wrestler with coaching ability and at heavyweight level that also is competing in JJ.

Im really curious how wrestling itself differs between sports. Like would you think gordon rayan can outscore pat downey in adcc type wrestling match with no submissions or guard? Heard them talking about something like that on instagram
