In case anyone wonders how to switch to barons since apparently you can't directly play as them in the character selection menu. You need to play as a random ruler or adventurer, turn the debug mode on, and then ctrl + left click one or two times on the baron you want to play as. You can also do this to play as peasant revolts or cultural/religious uprisings.

Being a baron would be such a cool rp step going from wanderer to baron and really work your way up

i mean adventurers can become barons via the found holding decision.

edit, just tried in game im wrong :D turns out you can get a pressed claim, or money yearly based on a percentage.

You can easily sort it clicking on minor landholders

Playable baron would require a lot of overhaul.

First of all, revoking barony title is free, so this would require an overhaul on itself to make barony playthrough even playable.
Then there're numerous unimplemented gameplay for barons, which might impact game performance due to the sheer number of barons, especially republic type.
