Safety is always the most important thing to consider before flying. A great way to keep yourself safe is by understanding and practicing risk management and sticking to your own personal minimums. As a pilot, you will need to weigh this into each and every flight.

In this video, we’ll cover the difference between risk and hazards, how to mitigate risk by using the PAVE checklist and ADM or Aeronautical Decision Making, and how to determine if your particular flight is a go or no-go decision. We’ll also cover what personal minimums are, how you can determine them, and how you can expand them as you gain more experience flying.
