Thanks for the informative video. I weld, glue, bolt, screw, lash, nail and sew things together, and your excellent and pleasantly spoken information was educational.

Thank you for an informative and concise video. My wife has a handbag that has started separating and your video helped me pick the right glue from our workshop.

Hey! I am a leather worker and have been for about 7 years - and I use only barge and sew through the leather every day. It is essentially contact cement. Paul Long who is a master sheath maker for over 40 years has only ever used Barge cement. With that said - I hand sew leather in a traditional manner and Paul uses leather sewing machines. You may be speaking about a fabric sewing machine - and I have no experience with that. I would suggest this when using barge before you sew - coat both parts you want to hold together with a thin layer of Barge and let it fully dry. Then put them together. It is contact cement, however, so you have to get it right the first time - there is no moving it around. When you sew through fully dried Barge - it will not be sticky or grab your needles like partially dried cement can. Thanks so much for the others. I learned something!

Thank you for this excellent video. I was going to order the Barge in yellow can tonight but because of your well explained review, I'm going blue 😊 thank you.

Having used several different brands of contact cement on leather and rubber, I would say they all work fine. There will be differences in the amount if time they take to tack up, the amount of time you have to put them together and the amount of time it takes to dry.

I have to say, using a magazine like that for gluing items is ingenious! I have been using loose sheets of used printer paper that I would be tossing out… but the magazine idea in brilliant! :)

Thank you for your awesome tips. You don't know how much help you have been. I appreciate how nice you explain things and your calming voice makes things nice to listen to. I had only found men explaining leather crafting. I felt so lost. Thank you so much. I am so glad I found your channel💖

Hello is the barge cement flexible/bendable? I needed a glue to glue two leathers together that can still be bendy. Hope you can help. Thank you so much. Love your video. ❤️

I'd like to thank you for your video. I just used the Barge TF contact cement to bond cloth to my leather sneakers. It came out great.

Hello B. Dillinger, I hope you are well and that you can answer my question. What glue would you recommend to attach fabric to leather, specifically a muslin fabric to an old cosmetic case. I want to put pictures of not so well known women in history to make the case look vintage. I hope you can give me some advise. I am doing this along with several other projects for a friend and have had them for a couple of years. Inspiration starting striking the beginning of this year and this is the last project. Thank you for your time.

I am trying to repair a vinyl chair that split apart along a seam and I do not want to resew it. I thought about putting a vinyl patch underneath the seam split and then using E6000 to glue the patch to the split seam to bring the seam together. I would then use clear tape to keep it pull together while the glue dries. 2 questions - 1) Is that a good idea? Rather than using vinyl under the split seam, is there better material to pull a seam closed that won't spread with time? 2) When I glue vinyl to vinyl, do I use the front of the vinyl or the back which has the backer on it? Thanks.

Informative video. I'm interested in attaching an embroidered patch onto a soft leather bag. I don't own a sewing machine nor would I know how to use one. Would any of these glues work? Based on the video, I'm leaning toward the E6000. What do you think? Thank you.

Hi what’s the best glue for the worm out leather in wallets. Basically I want to fill in the hole areas and be able to paint over it. Also, is that same glue good for leather edging on straps? 🙂
