Nice! I am using a shed as a coop as well but a little one. Lifted it up on some cinder blocks and wood platform within the giant mesh run

I have those kinds of shells different brands from Costco and after 10 or so years they don’t longer carry parts so it’s a good idea to reinforce the inside. There are a couple of youtube‘s we found and yesterday we actually reinforced ours. The wind has blown apart one this last year, but it was able to put back together.

What changes would you recommend for keeping rabbits in one of these?

Hi there! We just finished building the 10x7 version of this for our flock. My question is, how did you make the floor not slippery. Our roosters are sliding around in there just while we were building it. I’m going to put some straw down or pine chips but not sure if that will help much. Any ideas?

Perhaps they would like a window cut out at least on one side with some screen on it to get some fresh air flowing. Now I may be wrong. I don’t raise chickens. I’m just thinking of fresh air.

How many chickens roost in there? Thinking of getting the same shed.

The Illuminati must be watching 😆 I just put up the same shed for my 20 hens. It is connected to an 8x8 metal run from Tractor Supply. They free range all day long, but if I am out of town, or there is higher predator pressure, I keep the run closed during the morning and evening hours. Everything is run on automatic doors.

Simple, but effective. Only thing I would do differently is to have a rollaway nesting box. I hunk I would give up eating eggs if the eggs had poop on them.

Did you alter the shed for ventilation?

how do you make sure it’s enough airflow and not too hot in the summer months

How many chickens do you have in there? Just got the same shed. Do you have issues with shed getting to hot in the summer? That’s my main concern with mine

Does it smell? I think my city codes technically forbid but if I only plan on keeping three chickens or so I’m sure I can manage their doo doos. My mom doesn’t seem to think that it is feasible to raise them but I beg to differ since our backyard is sizeable (800 sq ft maybe)
