Air from Bach's 3rd Orchestral Suite. Arranged by Siloti. One of Bach's most lyrical melodies, this piece is a prime example of how effective - and beautiful - simplicity can be. An Air (or Aria), is most commonly found in Operas as a standalone song performed by a singer, with an expressive melody. Although instrumental, Bach creates a similar experience and it's hard not to hear this melody as being sung by a voice, with the melody intricately woven into Bach's contrapuntal accompaniment. I hope you have an excellent Monday ♥

I almost gave up piano, until I started listening to classical music. I will never think of leaving this beautiful instrument ever again

Another classic piece that makes you think, “everything will be okay.” Very moving and beautiful.

Youtube directed me here... Never watched a piano video in my life... Was going to click away, instead listened for a minute. 15 videos later and now subscriber... Damn you Youtube and your smart algorithms that know me better then I do!

Rousseau, your playing is a reminiscence of when my late beloved grandmother played. She also played this organ and Bach was or favourite composer. It's 'ike she felt closer to God when she played or listened to a Bach' s record. Thank you so much.

The white colors fit so nicely with this song. So simple, yet so perfect. Such a beautiful piece. Thank you, Rousseau.

My choir sang a vocal arrangement of this for my last concert. Needless to say, it’s very close to my heart. I had to quit choir, but it helped shape me into the person I am over the last 7 seven years. Whenever I hear this piece, I can almost go back to the stage where we performed every concert, blinded by the white lights, singing my little heart out and being greeted by smiling parents at the end. I know I’m late, but thanks Rousseau. This is beautiful

A melody beyond humans, beyond worlds and galaxies, time and space, life and spirit, gorgeously arranged and played. An irrepressible tear of joy falls. Thanks!

Thank you Rousseau, for reminding us that beauty need not rise from complexity. This piece is a stunning example of simple beauty, and you play it amazingly! Thank you for the content you bring us <3 From one pianist to another <3

What amazes me most about Rosseau is not the music, but how he manages to learn advanced pieces in about a week. Bravo.

This is awesome, not only because it was played magically but because it serves as a reminder to classical musicians that virtuosity and flare are not the only qualities of music. I have seen too much of people playing flight of the bumblebee and being praised for terrible phrasing, playing Vivaldi winter and not truly reflecting the piece's meaning. Thank you Rousseau, for reminding us what classical music truly is. And for giving us a breath of fresh _AIR_ from mainstream showoffs...

the edit was the pun...

It's 1999, I'm 7 years old and I'm running around beating up robots as a blue guy named Rock Man(aka Megaman to us English speakers). I've gathered my artifacts and walk into the Museum to check out my treasures. All of a sudden this sense of peace washes over me as I hear Air for the first time in my life. I really gotta thank video game developers and cartoon creators who bridged a cultural and historical gap with their art. I don't think I've heard Air and many other classical favorites outside of the medias I just mentioned and I'm eternally grateful for them opening my mind to different musics at such a young age.
