This worked for me, with one note- I had to go into the add/remove programs menu and uninstall realtek audio driver from there instead of from device manager since it seemed to have a problem actually uninstalling the driver.

Thank you so much! I recently reinstalled windows 10 and had to download a few drivers. Every time I plugged in my headphones, my pc wouldn't recognize it because of Realtek. Finally got rid of that for good!

You are The best man alive, I got the Realtek ones because another Utuber said it will make your mic sound good. Then I could not hear, so for like 3 days I could not hear out my headset till I stumbled on your video. Buddy you just got a very happy sub and like. THANK YOU :)

For anyone having the problem of it still being in device manager after uninstalling I was able to fix mine. I first grabbed a clean download of realtek by just googling the latest drivers. Then, I went into settings then apps and uninstalled realtek there. Realtel was removed from my pc, then on the restart it was gone from device manager.

I am having major problems with Realtek. I am constantly having to update the driver. I even went to Dell and downloaded the new version. It works fine until I removed my ear buds/head phones. Then I have to do it all over again. Now you are telling me to just uninstall Realtek? I don't understand. Could you please advise. Thanks very much.

I recommend people uninstall it unless their audio literally requires Realtek to function. Realtek are useless. It's one thing to have no communication with your customers, despite being forced on PCs by most manufacturers; it's another to have no support for your own apps, programs and drivers. Their website has little to no information or details on anything, hosts stunted downloads for their drivers that inexplicably limit you to 20KB/s download speeds, and doesn't even install the Audio Manager — it seems they instead see fit to host an "updated" app on the Windows Store, but too bad that the download is completely broken and refuses to install for most people anyway.

Maybe its refusal to download is for the better, if you think about it. The default High Definition Audio Device will give you the same sound quality without any of the hassle or trying to label every single audio device as a speaker. Realtek are the most cryptic and out-of-date company ever. I constantly see people trying to download their audio drivers from random websites that claim to host "updated drivers" (potentially garnished with a nice touch of malware) because Realtek's own website is worthless, and they have no contact or support at all.

I uninstalled it then restart but after the restart and checking again my device manager the Realtek is still installed but it now works perfectly fine. Im kinda confused coz I uninstalled it like what u did. Maybe my laptop automatically installed it again but anyways it solves my issue. Thanks friend. I liked this vid.
