My 42 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with BCC just below her clavicle. She first noticed it thirteen months ago and went to her GP. He laughed when she said she was worried that it was skin cancer and told her it was a fungal infection. After steroid treatment which didn’t work, she saw another GP who gave her a different steroid. The steroid didn’t work. She had extensive surgery last Tuesday to remove her tumour including a 2cm margin. To say that we are beyond fury with her GP is an understatement.

I’m a 70 year old female and had a biopsy done of a small spot above my upper lip. I’m very fair and blue eyed. I burn easily so have tried to stay out of the sun as much as possible. The spot came up like a tiny blister and caused a sore and scabbed over. It itched and never really went away. Then it started coming back again and again with a scaly appearance. So I went to have it checked out. My doctor looked at the spot through a type of scope, then numbed it and took a biopsy. I’m waiting to hear back from my doctor whether or not the biopsy showed BCC. If it does I’ll most likely be having surgery to remove it. I’ve never had any type of cancer before, so this is a little scary. Your video explained pretty much what my doctor also told me.

Your video shows that you are the sharing type. Some doctors when you are in the system and on a fixed income forget why they chose their career .

When it comes to a diagnosis of micronodular bcc, would treatment with IG-SRT be a better option than Mohs, given that the IG-SRT can somewhat saturate an area, and in theory destroy these drifting islands of bcc that would possibly be outside of a clear Mohs margin? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Have a "pimple" that won't pop or go away. If I try to poke it and pop it it bleeds. Gonna keep an eye on it to see if it's growing

I am from South Africa. I have BCC on my nose and forehead. I had 2 surgeries done but it came back bigger than before. Is there any treatment I can try because I am quite scared of losing my nose if they keep messing up like in the past. I am even willing to take part as a experiment on new treatments. I am really not in for any further surgery.

Most of my skin cancers showed up 20 or 30 years later.

Saw Dr, suspected BCC, had to wait for weeks for Biopsy, had Biopsy 16th Dec, and there's a 10 week wait for the results due to the NHS in the miserable UK. Then if it is a BCC I have to wait up to 7 months to have it removed. Mine is like that guy on the video but on the bridge where there is not much skin and it's getting bigger. SO, if you're in the UK, don't expect anything like this guy says or Hugh Jackman, however still get it checked.
