Waiting too long to have a biopsy led to stage 3 malignant melanoma for me. PLEASE don’t wait when a spot is suspicious looking or causes concern for you or your doctor. Three surgeries, radiation treatment and two years of treatments with nivolumab, and I am doing well. I Just had what may be my final CT exams. And if clear, I will be able to have the port in my chest/heart removed, and carry on life with a thankful heart. I am SO lucky to have the medical expertise available to me!

Just had this done a few hours ago. It wasn't bad at all. Only took an hour or so and their was no pain due to the local. Glad I didn't wait to have it done.

Had my MOHS surgery this past Wednesday and everything went very well. I checked in at the front desk at 8:30 and I was home and in my comfy chair by 10:30 a.m. The only pain occurred when the nurse injected the lidocaine into my forehead but other than that I felt nothing during the actual surgery. Feeling very pleased with my early detection and the success of the entire process. Get those odd looking skin anomalies checked out, people!!! And take very good care!
