I just recently read John again. It is always such a powerful statement to think about.

In Revelation, Jesus identifies Himself as the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

He didn’t say, “I was there at the beginning; He claimed to BE the beginning.”

I don’t understand the question. Jesus was killed for blasphemy of being equal, having the authority and portraying to be God.

Exactly, if Jesus wasn't God then everything he claimed & did wouldn't make sense.

Of course Jesus said he is God. We cannot deny what the bible says. To deny his divinity is to deny who He is.

Not only that. But when he said to those asking "show us the father " he said "if you've seen me you've seen the father".

That's one of the fundamental truths of Christianity. That he is God. There's a very good reason why it is plastered on the statement of faith of every bible-believing Church.

It’s clear that over and over again, Jesus demonstrated as well as stated His deity and oneness with the Father. He accepted worship, He healed on the sabbath, He forgave people their sins, He claimed to be one with the Father, He said when we’ve seen Him, we’ve seen the Father, He claimed command over angels, He claimed His place at the right hand of the power of God and He never corrected the Scribes and Pharisees who charged Him of making Himself equal with God. He was executed for blasphemy and nothing less. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are One as God as there is only one God.
He knew what He was saying and everyone else who was there did too.
