Russia-Ukraine crisis: UN confirm 'safe passage operation', evacuates 100 from Azovstal steel plant

A deal led by the United Nations and the International Red Cross has begun to ease the ordeal of the most destructive siege of war in Ukraine. Roughly 100 civilians were evacuated from the besieged Azovstal steel plant in eastern Ukrainian city of Mariupol.

Putin states it very clear, only civilians is allowed to be evacuated. Civilians are allowed to chose of their choice to go to the western side of Ukraine or Eastern side of Ukraine.

In doing so, Russia will guarantee for their safety.

After the UN guy went to talk to Putin, things started changing. Somehow, the UN managed to send a message through to the Azov battalion and some civilians started emerging from the steel plant. No more human shields, at least for the people that got away from the plant.
