Why is everyone missing the elephant in the room. Thank you China. I am Aussie, and we have had some rough relations lately, and I did not expect China to get up and say anything about this. The fact that they did, AND they promoted safety of civilians, and negotiations I feel means more than what anyone else said here combined. Thank you very much China. You are in a great position to now show the world that you can be a responsible and truly great world power. We all know about the tension between the US, and China and Russia. and lets make no secret that this in essence is a tension of relations between the USA along with its NATO allies and the non Nato allied countries and lets not kid ourselves, ... That tension underlies a vast majority of what we are seeing here. We need to extend bridges to Russia from the west if we truly want peace. We cannot have peace if we only demonize them. I truly hope that Russia and the USA along with the EU and NATO can sit down and have a truly frank conversation about our troubles and how we can go about solving them. I don't want to see Ukrainians suffer, I don't want to see Russians suffer, I don't want to feel like China is an enemy and I don't want to feel like the USA is the main pillar of what is keeping my country safe. I pray for peace in Europe. I prey for friendship with non Nato countries.
