The Future of Etihad - A350-1000 Inaugural Flight

I flew on Etihad Airways new A350-1000 inaugural flight from Abu Dhabi to Paris on 31 March 2022. The Etihad A350-1000 has 44 Business Class suites and 327 economy class seats. A total of 5 A350-1000 will be entering service with Etihad this year.

There are the usual celebrations at the gate before takeoff, aviation enthusiasts and media were busy taking photos and videos of the new plane. The pilot gave the flight briefing and showed the latest touch screen technology on the A350-1000 cockpit display. Enjoy the views from the cockpit during takeoff.

After takeoff, I explored the Economy Class cabin. The first 5 rows in Economy have extra space as Economy Space. There are tablet holders and a bluetooth enabled headset connection. I checked out all the seat functions in the new Etihad Business Class suite. It has a sliding door to enhance privacy.

During the flight, I interviewed Etihad Aviation Group CEO Tony Douglas about the A350 operation and the future of the Etihad A380. The new Etihad A350-1000 will be deployed to Mumbai, Delhi, Jeddah, Cairo and Istanbul before entering long haul service to New York and Chicago in July.

The A350 has become one of my favorite aircraft over the last couple of years and I’m very happy to see that Etihad has also added this beauty to its fleet. Pity they don’t intend to fly it to Europe, but understandable. 36.000ft cruising altitude seems rather low for the A350 by the way, often see them at or above 40.000ft. Anyway, thanks for another great trip report Sam!👍🏻

I love the a350 because of its design it's black mask and it's engines. Truly loved it!! My favorite is a350-1000 and the Boeing 777-300ER. Loved them both

I really enjoyed this video. As an A350 lover, the A350-1000 *(aka A35K)* is my favorite A350 model, it has almost the same length as the 777-300ER (B77W/B773), and it is also fuel-efficient like the Triple 7 too!! 😇

I met one of Etihad’s fight attendants in Thailand as she was on her layover and we were speaking about Sam because I follow this page and watch all sams videos, unfortunately she’s told me that Sam can be rude to the flight attendants and they get really uncomfortable with that. Sam I love your videos my friend but please keep the respect levels to all flight attendants equally, other than that keep doing you, very proud.
