Tbh I thought this was a sponsored short lol. It’s a good ad for the nonstick pan ngl.

Using the kicker actually weakens the glue a bit. Try actually letting it cure a day or more. You'll get more sticking action. I still think a fresh Teflon surface will let go pretty easy.

Super glue works better without the activator, the rapid activation causes a lot of heat, and makes the glue more brittle

I used to eat sticky tack until i discovered it had glue-tin in it😂

It is physically impossible to glue anything to teflon because of the composition. It doesn't matter what CA glue you use, you can even try epoxy and it won't stick on that pan as long as the Teflon is completely covering the pan and it's not some weird Teflon composite.

In a lab environment people actually build plates made out of Teflon for different glue samples specifically because nothing will ever stick to them.

Super glue only works with porosity. Doesn't stick for shit to smooth surfaces. But it was developed as a liquid stitch, and does one hell of a job. Always worth keeping in your first aid kit

Reminds me of "a non non stick stick of aluminum"

Superglue is pressure activated. That's why fingers stick together so well when you pinch it

Super glue needs a porous surface for adhesion for the fibers to seep in the pan is smooth therefore it cannot stick.

A glue with a spray that activates it a great idea.

I want to see it wait for 24 hours and see if that makes a difference. Probably won’t because I don’t fully understand the spray he put on first. Only problem is when you use it, you naturally take some of the surface off and that would allow it to stick. So idk how long those pans last but as a uni student, I can’t just keep buying them lol.

It also won't stick to laminate for a long period of time

Try the same experiment but with a string attached to pull for tension

You can’t spray the pan first, it puts a layer between the glue and pan

Does the viscosity of the glue change its effectiveness? I had no idea there were both thick and thin super glues.

Maybe it’s because you’re using a glue made for Wood, Fiberglass, Glass, Ceramic, Plastic, Metal, Rubber on a pan coated with polytetrafluoroethylene google recommend Permabond POP Primer so I would try that idk I’m not an expert just a guy who took 5sec to look something up

The most mind blowing part of this video is that I have the same super glue from the same hobby shop 👊

Now use a well seasoned carbon steel pan
