it's fascinating to me how despite all his stories about having this harrowing traumatic past and mountains of baggage, he seems almost impervious to actual trauma. motherfucker was the sole survivor of a murder-suicide and came very close to being killed. any normal person would probably be permanently altered by that experience, but aside from adding britney's death to his arsenal of tragic backstories to exploit, his behavior and general demeanor was completely unchanged. his capacity to just roll with every single punch and be completely unaffected by traumatic events while simultaneously portraying himself as some unfailingly strong perpetual victim to garner sympathy at every turn is fucking bananas.
