Exteriors for the Batcave, as seen in the Adam West Batman TV series were all shot on location in the Hollywood hills, at Bronson Caves.

If you'd like to check it out yourself, here's a google maps link to the trail head. Just park your car, walk up the fire road about 100 yards and boom there they are:

As I recall some location work for a couple of early season 2 episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was shot in and around the Bronson Cave/Bronson Canyon Area, doubling for the planet Bajor.
The story goes that the cameraman and director of photography had to be *really* careful in framing the shots, because too far in one direction and the Hollywood Sign would be in shot, and too far in the other some guy's house would be in view.

Evidently, the great John Wayne/John Ford movie, "The Searchers" was shot there for the final scene!!!
