For those who like reading this far into the description, it's worth noting that there is a strategy to use a super reportal instead of 5 reportals to skip into course 3, but its very inconsistent. Also, there are potential theories to skip straight into course 5, skipping courses 1, 2, 3, and 4! However, it is unlikely that that strategy will ever come to fruition.

Imagine if coop had different gameplay, there would be a portal gun for player one that shoots blue and green portals, while player two would shoot orange and purple portals, but instead of the players own portals connecting, the blue portals would connect to the orange ones and the purple ones would connect to the green, greatly increasing the amount of cooperation required.

Alternatively, you could do what I did and have all 5 courses magically unlocked for some unclear reason as soon as you boot up the (local) multiplayer for the first time
