Do I have to buy motion sensor tubelight or bulb in order to set the motion detection routine in my echo dot 5th generation speaker via Alexa app? Will the ordinary led tubelight via smart plug will work to detect human movement?

Hi Neel, you may be aware, but in case you are not : the reason why Alexa didn't trigger routine is due to the fact that Alexa has the additional field to set the duration for which no motion is detected. The sensor sends status to Alexa ( detected and not detected) anytime it's internal state changes. To trigger no motion detected based routine, Alexa checks for how long the status has remained in no-motion detected state. In your example, you had left that field at zero. Hence, Alexa would try to trigger 0 minute after state has changed to 'no-motion detected' (I.e, immediately).In your case, 0 minute would have already passed, when the mentioned time of 12:10 happened. So, it won't trigger.
When you select the motion sensor in Alexa, it shows current status (detected or not detected) and how much time has passed after the new state has occurred.

no motion detected routines only work with 0 minutes selected, no matter the time of day range. There is a shit bug that is affecting anything over 0 minutes. It was working a few months ago, but amazon broke it again.
