my friend just used this opener in our correspondence game. it's not bad to get you rolling, but I personally prefer running charismatic and NOT trying for the immediate turmoil. by being strategic with your opening hand you can start charismatic and often still get a move and build in the first few rounds. getting roosts down turn 1 and 2 makes a major difference in your power ramp up. it's also always better to turmoil in the Build phase rather than the Move or Recruit phase, and you can plan for this round 3 or 4 so you still get all your other actions and don't waste a round. My optimal game hits 5 roosts and maxes out your deployed birds round 4, it's one of the best point and control engines in the game.
