Fabrication Tricks: Patching Sheet Metal

Normally for this type of patch we would tack a small flat bar or angle iron to the old metal. Then you could pry the sheets together to be able to tack them. However, in this instance, we didn’t have the space to use that method. This is a trick my dad taught me when I was about 12 years old.
