Introduction to Qualitative Research Methods

Qualitative research has a vital role within the community services sector to inform how we capture stories of lived experience, demonstrate insights about service use satisfaction and quality, and use evidence-based methodologies to understand community beliefs, perspectives, attitudes, behaviours and values. Qualitative methodologies provide a framework to explore the human experience and the social and cultural context in which community services operate.

In this session (recorded on 9 October 2023), we explore some of the key concepts and processes of qualitative inquiry and why it’s important.
