A dating advice question I get asked a lot by women is "Mark, why are guys so confusing?"

I get this question so often that, in todays video, I thought it was time to answer the question of "Why guys are so confusing" with a bit of a spin.

In this dating advice video from Make Him Yours, I (Mark Rosenfeld, dating and relationship coach) am bringing in a new character. His name is douchebag mark, and he's here to represent some of the frustrations women have as to why guys are so confusing.

When a woman comes to me saying "Mark, why are men so confusing?", my first thought is "I wonder which form of confusing guy behaviour this woman has received. Is it the standards mixed signals, the commitment-phobe, the guy that has no idea what he wants, or a little of all of the above?

Today, I've decided to answer this question by showcasing some of the classic behaviours of confusing guys, with a little help from my very confused co-star, Jermia.

In today's dating video we're labeling some of the most confusing male behaviours, so you can see first hand the tricks some men pull to confuse women.

If you want to know exactly what some of these confusing behaviours are, we've filmed 5 of the classics for you that I'm sure you'll be able to identify with.

And if you're over confusing guys, at least you can relax in the knowledge you're not alone. Avoid guys like douchebag Mark in the future and you'll wind up a lot less confused by men and dating in general!

I don't even understand why douchbags exist. If all they want is sex, or just something casual for whatever reason, they should be grown up enough to honestly say that before getting involved with a girl. Only immature people do not know what they want or play games when they meet someone. If everyone would just be open and honest, everyone would find their match for whatever type of relationship that they are looking for at that specific time in their lives.

I am in the UK and have been single for two and a half years. I only realised a few days ago when a guy approached me to casual chat. And I balsed it up. Ok, so he's a waiter who may just of been making small talk. But he asked how I was doing and I didn't even make eye contact and I just replied, , "Fine, you?" ? I didn't have a clue what to say back to get into a conversation. Help!! I go there regularly to do my art with a pot of tea and the atmosphere is great. Aimee

We women need to develop people reading skills and learn to dissociate long enough from our hormones and emotions to properly discern. It also helps to have decent communication skills also and not be afraid to walk away from men who dont want what we want. But it was a good video showing us the douchebags. Haha

I also feel very confused about my situation, if anyone can give me advice I would like to hear... I met this guy in end of summer on vacation and we liked each other in first second then we spent all time together . I never felt in this way before but he was so different compare to other guys I met so far! After vacation, he went back to his country (he is foreigner ) so first month we talked everyday but then we started talking less(because I'm busy with college and he is busy with work) . I thought I should see it as good memory and move on, tried to date with other guys but could not feel anything and still he was on my mind . And on new year he said to me " You mean very much to me and I love you no matter what ", so I also told him that I love him but thats it again . I don't know will he be ever willing to plan something, like visit me or dating with me ? Why did he say he loves me after 4 months, I really can't understand how he thinks of me now...

Hi Mark, I am seeing this guy from past 8 months, in a long distance relationship, kind of...We talk daily on phone, n he is the one who always call or message me, first..But Wenever I ask him to make plans for meeting up, he doesn't respond it properly...N he never make any...He always say..We will meet up soon and it's quite annoying...Can u tell me...What to do with that mark...?thanq

I spoke to you weeks ago about a guy who wanted time apart from me after an argument with my parents, and then he was distancing himself, and we broke up and he didn't want to talk to me... I know you have a lot of people who reach out to you so hopefully you remember me and my story!! Lol
Well... he reached out to me today.... he was genuinely apologizing for everything and he wants to talk and make peace.. I am seeing him tomorrow and I guess you can say I am pretty nervous. Im in my 30s and never had a boyfriend.. decided to try online dating app but it seems im attracting the wrong guys.. never gone to a single date as i prefer foreigners so dating may not seem feasible.. knowing i will encounter a lot of those doucebags along the way makes me think is it all worth trying to find a partner nowadays or Im in much of a better place being single 😅
