I actually really like the BotW/Odyssey gameplay the game has. It also has a lot of good character writing. Amy wants to go see the world to do good like Sonic has, Tails wants to go solo and grow up more, and Knuckles plans to explore more than Angel Island.

So yeah, they are almost definitely planning a large-scale Sonic Adventure 3.

Being a sonic fan right Now, with frontiers Is absolute infinite joy, the story and characters are so good next to..."baldy mcnosehair" and "¡SONIC HELP ME!".

And the gameplay Is pretty good, with returning levels (just in layout) like radical highway and metal harbor in the cyberspace Is really nice
