I brought a couple of tickets for me and my best friend but at the last moment he refused and said I've got some urgent work to do. I felt a bit upset but alright maybe some work is important than movie. The tickets was going waste so I thought let's go to watch movie alone, at least one ticket is gonna pay. I went to theatre and what I found is that my best friend is sitting next to me with some other person. I can't write my feelings in word. Maybe this is called replaced. By the way, thanks for reading.

My best friend replaced me about last January for a group of other people.

She was my only friend.
And
The fear of her leaving was so fucking scary
Because she was the only person holding me together
And when she grew distant, and began pushing me away for very clearly better people...
I went into a deep state of depression.

And missed over 30 days of school
Because every other day
I’d see her talk to the people that are so much better than me.
Who know how to speak without stuttering
Who are so outgoing and confident
Who have absolutely none of my insecurities.
I became practically mute by the end of the school year because they made me feel like I never had anything worthwhile to say.

It hurts man.
It hurts more than a bullet wound and if anyone here tells me I’m wrong, they haven’t witnessed their best friend of 7 years slowly, tormentingly drift away day by day until you’re the background noise in their story.

I apologize for the vent. This song just- made me remember.
And it hit way too close to home.

Anyone who’s been replaced knows the feeling of when you know that their kinda shunning you for someone else but you can’t say anything cause you don’t want to sound like the rude person who “just needs attention”...

Honestly, I’ve given up on trying to keep my friends, constantly clinging to them in fear that I’d lose them. Now I’m just avoiding them, have they noticed? Probably. It’s obviously because of this that my other friends have grown closer together, so I have no reason to complain about it. It may sounds selfish, but I wish they would notice that something isn’t right with me, but that’s all wishful thinking. No one will bother if I don’t make an effort, so I won’t. I’ve lost the motivation I once had for making, and keeping my friends.

This is one of the worst feelings:
When you make plans with your friends going somewhere, they all say they can’t go. But you still go there anyway, and when you arrive, you see them there together, laughing, having fun.
Or when all your friends make plans without you, then tell you the next day about how fun it was.
Also when your having a drama and your best friend suddenly turns it all on you, blames it all on you.

I can relate to this song on so many levels. My friend of 3 years managed to replace me. At first, we were all a good friend group of 3. Then, they just kinda drifted away from me. They didn't want to be my friend anymore. It made me insecure and anxious. I was heartbroken. On top of that, I have to deal with family issues. My heart hurts. I've been replaced too many times. I feel annoying, like nobody wants to talk with me for too long. I hate it.
