Ideally, use patch panels and factory made cables. I cut DIY cables in half and chuck em in the bin. Not worth the hassle even if you get paid by the hour. Problem with DIY is most testing is with a $15 ebay special or no testing at all. Use velcro to secure network cabling not zip ties. Leave a service loop of about 1-2m in the roof/wall/hidden on all network runs. Other than that, nice video. Wouldn't bother with Cat6a patch leads just yet but if you are running cable through buildings, definitely run Cat6a.

However, I'd argue that it is a mistake to not leave the shielding foil and braid, until you've attached the connector and crimped, then only cut off what comes out backwards from connector. With the metal side of the foil outwards and the braid you will ensure that the cable shielding and not only the ground wire is connected to the shielding of the RJ45 connector. (For best possible signal integrity I think you'd want a low impedance path to ground for any common mode noise along the whole cable, for all twisted pairs.)

Cable manufacturers are removing the stripe from the white cables. It's not a fault. Wires without a stripe can perform slightly better in some situations.

helpful trick is to untwist with a screwdriver from the base it helps straighten the wires as it untwists them

That is a cat7 cable, but otherwise is a correct way to terminate 6a.
