Показать описание

ANATOMY :
FCR is situated between the Pronator Teres and the Palmaris Longus. It attaches above the medial epicondyle with the common tendon and the intermusculer septaIts muscle belly only extends to the upper half of the forearm. Distally the tendon attaches to below the base of the second metacarpal bone and a segment to the third metacarpal bone
ACTION:
FCR flexes the hand and can assist abduction of the hand at the wrist.
INNERVATION:
FCR is innervated by the C6/C7 spinal nerves.
TRIGGER POINT :
FCR trigger point resides in the midsection of the muscle belly and satellite trigger points can come from the Pectoralis Minor muscle. Most trigger points are perpetuated from gripping movements such as long periods of holding and gripping , ie: holding a steering wheel for long durations, holding and using a hammer.
Its referral is primarily along the muscle belly and to the radial side of the wrist.
