This video contains part I of a lecture for Chemical Engineering 263 (Undergraduate Numerical Tools) at Brigham Young University. In the lecture, I:

(1) Discuss how to write systems of ODEs in a standard vector form that resembles the form for a single ODE, and
(2) Show how to turn a higher order ODE (e.g. a 2nd or 3rd order ODE) into a system of first order ODEs in the same standard form.
