As soon as I finished this video, it was off to my sewing room to gather scraps and attempt to make one. Love the scrappy table runners, they are so colorful just like our fall trees. I am a new quilter so right now I am working on making a quilt for each of my daughters. I have been watching your channel for the past year learning the basics and the terms and picking up fabric I like. I finally started last week and I chose the pattern with half square triangles as I thought that would be the easiest…..WRONG thinking on my part . I used muslin for the bottoms of cushion covers that I made for cushions for my concrete picnic table seats. That way I didn't have to use up something pretty for something no one would ever see and I would not have to worry about setting them on dirty or dusty surfaces. I made pretty quilt tops to match the colorful broken tile on the benches and backed these with the muslin. Then I put a grey fabric on the sides (to mimic the concrete) with zippers (so they can be washed), and put the muslin on the bottoms. I love how they turned out!
