If you take antibiotics take probiotics at the same time, because antibiotics kills the good bacteria also. And your body becomes more sensitive for utis

I had UTI 4th time in my life. I went through urinalysis, ultrasound. My reports are normal. I took lots of antibiotics (livofloxacin, vibramycin, ciprofloxacin, cefixime)and cranberry juice but its not gone. I had no bacterial growth in my urine culture but i got frequent urination and not able to empty my bladder after 4th UTL. I'm suffering from frequenct urination since 6months. What's the reason? Can you guide me?

I'm finding that I'm having some kind of yeast overgrowth and the duplicate doesn't work but then I'm having where I'm urinating a lot like in like a urinary and tract infection and I'm suffering each time

Doctor what do you think about the new guidelines of only handing out 3 days of meds regardless of history of rUTI or women over 60. It seems to me that only 3 days will just cause resistance, as it is my case now dealing with 3 UTIs since Feb. and having negative cultures until I found a NGS testing which showed the presence of same pathogen and was treated 3x with same AB that clearly was not working.
Doctors seem to not want to think on their own and just follow the AB stewardship guidelines thus harming women and creating super bugs because they don’t kill the bugs completely.
Also, many doctors don’t want to embrace new testing methods and ignore thousand of women that are telling them the traditional culture is not accurate. Why are they not offering this to people? One of them said it was because it was costly for the practice.
At this moment I have seen 2 Urologists, 2 gynecologists, and one ID doctor and I am super worried because I went without treatment for a month and a half. I am in pain (abdominal, flank and lower back pain.) On a course of AB now which I am scared won’t do work and I will eventually end up seriously ill in the hospital or worst.
Everybody tells us to advocate for self but doctors hate that.
Ladies, we need to speak up and ask for newer testing. Doctors should not treat a 60 yr old with long history of rUTI as they would treat a 20 year old with her first UTI.
As for IC- I have been told I had IC and find ways to cope, well I now feel validated and scared because 2 NGS test showed positive for bacteria.

I have a new sexual partner of 10 weeks now, iv been sti screened after sex with him and it come back iv had sex with him 3 times now and each time I keep getting uti, I can't use condoms as it severely drys me out, but also can't use lube as it hurts me too (I'm sensitive of what I can use down there) I want to enjoy sex but it's going to end up putting a downer on it :( x

The use of toilet paper can give you uti. Use a bidget instead.
