This video is about recurrent bladder infections.
Urinary tract infections are virtually always caused when bacteria that are normally present on the skin or in GI tract make their way into the urinary system. Learn how the vagina and vulva protect from recurrent UTI. UTIs are very common among women; about 50 to 60 percent of adult women have had at least one UTI.
Know when to not take antibiotics (hint: when the urine culture is negative). Know how to ask to make sure a urine culture is sent to prove it is an infection. Know what over the counter options are available. Find out what behavioral changes or medications are available to help decrease your risk for recurrent infection.

I have to thank you. I am one of the Vitamin C and water ladies and I've been avoiding going to the doctor after being on a UTI cycle for almost all of the shutdown because I watched your videos. I haven't been perfect, especially when absorbed in a project and get dehydrated, but at least I feel empowered that I can manage without taking drugs. I still need to get cream, hopefully soon because I think that's a contributing factor. Doing these videos, especially for us older ladies that get overlooked, is so helpful and empowering.

Would love to hear your and your clinic’s take on chronic or embedded UTI infections and long term (1-2 years) high dose antibiotics to beat the infection.

Can you do a video on recurrent UTIs in men? I know this is probably really rare, but that's why it should be discussed as I only see videos talking about it with women. I'm male and had two UTIs in the past six months. The first was obvious as I had a catheter after ESWL with stent placement in November 2023. The second I have no idea. It happened April 2024. Both times I was put on antibiotics and the second more recent time my urinalysis was tested for STDs which came back negative, but it confirmed a UTI.

My mom has recurrent UTIs and she’s diabetic. The one before this time actually caused her to get sepsis and I’ve been online doing research cause doctors have been only giving her the same old antibiotics and they’re not working anymore. I wish I could find something for her to help her. Ever since she had cancer this has been a recurring thing cause she had a vasectomy and all her woman tissues were pulled out from the cancer she had. I hope I can find something to help her. I’m going to look for some of the things you talked about. My only question is since she’s diabetic would it be a problem to take cranberry pills?

Standard cultures always come back negative but microgen pcr tests always show bacterias. Urogyno gave me augmentin and wanted me to start premarin cream because he thinks I also have vestibulitis since I have vulva irritation. Do I put the premarin like 1 inch into vagina as well as the urethra and around opening of vagina? I want to make sure I do it right
