Hidden Door - Secret Passage!!!

My son has always wanted a secret passage, but nothing is too exciting in our house to escape to. We have a closet in our living room, which was meant for coats, but since we don't use the front door, we turned it into a game closet. Well, I reorganized the games and shelves around to make room for a door way that leads into my son's room and thought it would be pretty sweet if we made a secret door.

I'm really not sure if this way of making a secret door is the best method, but so far, so good. I used a wheel on the opposite side of the hinges to take some of the stress and weight of the books on the shelf. My only concern is that the floor is uneven in that closet and the wheel doesn't touch at all times. I guess time will tell when the book shelf settles.

for the latch maybe a piece of steel in the wall with one of those selectable magnets welders use that can be flipped on or off in a fancy way

Believe those mystery screw with square head are for fixing squeaky hardwood flooring. Tiny head easy to wood fill.

If I was a thief I would think it’s kind of strange someone having a bookcase in the closet so I would automatically think that there’s a hidden space behind the bookcase because it’s in the closet.i would have put it on the blue wall just outside of the closet.
