I respect Jimmy Carter's moral character.

He criticitzed Obama for keeping Guantanamo Bay open and for the federal surveillance programs revealed by Edward Snowden. He also opposed the Iraq war.

His involvement in humanitarian efforts post-presidency is certainly admirable.

His goal as Prez was to not start any wars or drop any guns. He accomplished that. He made peace agreements with Israel and Egypt.

There is a reason why he's 99 he never did intentionally bad for people had a lovely long living wife and kids and man was never arrogant and was kind in his presidential term so, yeah 1st October from next year onwards on his 100th birthday should be observed as National Humanitarian Day.

Carter had quite bad flaws and some good ones. Literally every President have big bad flaws in and out of their Presidencies. Carter should be remembered as a good person after his Presidencies.

He was an ok president, but not terrible, as some opinions posted here. Terrible is an appropriate label for Andrew Jackson, Frankin Pierce, James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson and Donald Trump.

I TOTALLY agree with Bernie Sanders! I am a very big Bernie Sanders Supporter! I actually got to meet Jimmy Carter at the Summer Work Project on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in Eagle Butte South Dakota in 1994! He visited each house under construction! He was very friendly& kind to all the 1, 200 volunteers from the USA and Europe ! Carter was a graduate of the US Naval Academy, a Nuclear Engineer and a submariner!
