Billionaires need to understand that they are nothing without workers. HE didn't serve those billions of cups of coffee, HE didn't harvest the coffee beans that he probably purchased via cheap labor. I'm proud I've never spent a penny there.

I'm sure, that he takes full advantage of the worker suppression in other countries.

I am at a loss as to why anyone gives their money to Starbucks. They are awful, on every level.

I started boycotting Starbucks years ago, the product is just overrated and overpriced. I support local and small coffee shops in my community, Starbucks executives are the problem with corporate America.

"We did not have the right to provide those workers the benefits of joining a union" what a fraud, lol. Shout out to Bernie for being one of the few decent people in politics.

I used to work for Starbucks and greatly respected the company and Shultz. The wages were low, but the culture and camaraderie were great. I still love the brand, but I feel a little brainwashed. The leadership's cost-cutting measures often resulted in my store being understaffed. Baristas often had to work overtime and perform redundant manual tasks, which could lead to physical injury, not unlike what many have experienced in manufacturing settings. Wage increases were not tied to performance - rather they were given evenly across the board. The company's "the customer is always right" mindset led to many people - myself included - being verbally harassed by the archetypal "Karens" that have gone viral on social media. Yet, the company used its "perks" and socially liberal culture as window dressing to mask the sweatshop-like conditions of working there. I had known of the company's past union-busting efforts but thought that the Buffalo efforts were going smoothly. As it turns out, Schultz's "listening sessions" appeared to be another attempt to prevent unionization. Isn't this the same guy who owns an $18 million luxury yacht? C'mon man!

Keep the money for the few at the top. Give the employees half of what's needed to barley struggle by and die broke with no benefits.

Starbucks coffee is over priced and terrible tasting and sadly put out great smaller mom and pops coffee shops when they first started with great prices and coffee. Now look at them. Capitalism at it's finest.

I worked at Starbucks for a spell in college, and while the benefits were better than most, understaffing, low wages, and corporate propaganda were the norm, so much so that coworkers would often joke that when we asked, "Raises, please?, " the company would reply, "How about some free Spotify instead?"
