I tell my 22 year old son all the time...we didn't have these opportunities when growing up in the 60s and 70s. I’m chronically ill and on permanent disability assistance at 22, I can’t afford my necessary surgeries & life feels like it somehow gets darker and darker each month. I’m really hoping I can somehow, someday put my creativity to good use and get myself out of poverty, its a pipe dream but the only hope I have left. I wish the decline in my mental health didn’t get in the way from making art because it’s definitely a helpful outlet, even if you aren’t profiting financially from it! Thank you for sharing
