Weed should be used as a tool not just for recreation, but creation and introspection. But also getting in touch with nature. As it is a natural source of inspiration when used wisely

psychedelics have been huge for me. In the video he says if it gives bliss, it is different. Weed, LSD, and mushrooms have all done this for me. I agree that the goal is to go on without them. But for many born into terribly low conditions, they will provide a positive experience that can sustain long periods of personal growth.

Without weed I would not be in the spiritual path I am right now. It gives me time to pause and it has been really helpful to know myself. I guess every person is different, but I wouldn't label it as counterproductive. I even know lots of people that have stopped drinking and doing other drugs thanks to marijuana.

So true. I made up all these excuses so that I can keep smoking. The truth is my mind was over talkative and distracted all the time. I was depressed. Really stop following your favourite celebs choices for life. They are themselves not happy. How can they teach you to be happy. Stop smoking. Exercise, do kriya, be happy. Go out, meet people, make friends. Leave the company which is into drugs. Find better friends. They exist.

Anything and everything done with a true purpose is soothing, comforting, blissful, and if not for the right purpose, even vidya becomes kaali vidya and causes harm!!

I disagree. I've personally found weed and mushrooms to be extremely healing and helpful when it came to my spiritual path. I meditate with it in the morning to bring me closer to the truth within myself. I'm not always happy but that has nothing to do with these sacred plants, the pain comes from trauma that I'm healing thanks to these sacred medicines. I say, instead of following a guru you listen to the wisdom within first. You figure out what is good for you. Having said that anything can be misused and abused, so be wise my friend, everyone is different, with different traumas, so these medicines should be treated with respect. It's not for everyone because it depends on your understanding and awareness, your state of mind. Look into your own mind first, your own wisdom, then use tools to help. be ware and be aware.

This is such a simplistic take. We are dependent on air to live. We are dependent on medicine to get better. The assumption is that the only way to use drugs is to be chasing a high from a place of addiction. But that is purely an entry-level stage one relationship with them. There are far more powerful ways to be in relationship with these substances which have nothing to do with chasing euphoric states but exploring the inner psyche from a greater place of clarity so that regular life is positively impacted.

So true!!! I had a habit of drinking too much coffee and when I did the sudarshan kriya in 2004, I had to leave coffee during those 5 days of the art-of-living program. Trust me, haven't had a cup of coffee except in social circumstances ( that too I can count on my fingers). It's been 17 years since I touched coffee. Unbelievable!!! I strongly recommend sudarshan kriya to everyone...

I agree with him 100 percent. It's a addiction.

"there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so". The key is moderation. Anything can have a negative effect on the body and mind; for example fruits are good but if you eat too much them it can have a negative effect on the body and if you're diabetic, well that will be even worse. Those things that can be beneficial (such as science is learning about weed), can also come with negative consequences, when over used or used by someone with a body chemistry and psychology that reacts to the plant in a negative way. Indigenous peoples have been using weed and other plant medicines for hundreds of years, with positive results but they use it with intention. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with the recreational use of it; nothing wrong with pleasure. There are so many different perspective on this subject but best to experience directly and see for yourself and do what's good for you. The wisdom and intelligence is within you.

The issue is addiction, not the substance itself. Someone that uses weed or any other substance can absolutely achieve the same type of spiritual enlightenment, the same happiness a sober person can. As long as you don't rely on just a substance for benefits and you do the work, I think it can really help.

To the title: if you let it. It's about your mindset, intention, and what's really going on underneath the surface of yourself. It enhances that.

This is so true, I have seen this up close with loved ones. I like the example of coffee because anytime that makes you feel that you cannot be happy without it is no good. We were born happy, young children do not need anything to be happy as they are in touch with the joy that they are. We need wisdom and guidance to get back to that truth❤

For me, sober or not I can dwell into the spiritual realm because I am a born shaman. Weed just gets me there quicker, shrooms get me there quicker and deeper and regularly. I'm still a student to shamanism and have oy been a weed smoker since I was 30 and I'm going on 34. It can disrupt those who are not in tune with the spiritual realm or their own spiritual awareness. But being a born shaman connecting with ancestors, weed is only a plus. Cigarettes and alcohol disrupt me. Too much wine or food also.

It’s always interesting listening to people that have no direct knowledge on something, giving their opinion. Direct knowledge is key!
