New study reveals impact of smoking marijuana on the lungs

A new study found that smoking marijuana can cause lung damage. Dr. Payal Kholi joins us to talk about potential side effects.

People don't understand this. The problem isn't the weed, it's the smoke. Breathing any kind of smoke is bad, whether it's cigarettes, weed, or a campfire. Cannabis isn't bad for you at all if you eat edibles.

She says no to vaping but to be clear she means cartridges, not cannabis flower. As far as I know vaporizing dry flower herb is much safer than smoking it.

Weed helped me when I had food poisoning… but I also have my downsides w it more specifically on disposables or cartridges, with those I did notice more frequent chest pain if I were to go back in time Id just stick with dry herb and a bong or pipe and just keep it as “natural” 😅

I tried alcohol smoked cigarettes

I bargained for seeds from smokers all around

Found me the meadow I thought was the best.

I dug up the ground sowed all my seeds
Said a small prayer for strong, healthy weeds.
I watered at night with a five-gallon pail
Mosquitoes went hungry for I wore a veil.

Seven months went by; I thought I would die
Till the Halloween moon was high in the sky.
At night I went out, in a camouflage suit
Used my corn knife to chop down the loot.

I hung it up to dry where it couldn’t be found.
Came back and got it, when it had turned brown.
I trimmed off the buds, stuffed them in bags
Called all my friends and passed out free drags.

In less than a week my crop was gone
I flew to St. Thomas with a love hungry blonde!!

Just to clarify, the only reason they said that marijuana can have more harmful effects than some cigarette smokers is because people like to hold in their hits in and also smoke excessive amounts. Your lungs immediately absorb the thc so theres no need to hold your hit in or cough to get higher.

Sounds like they’re keeping it real too. Been smoking for over 10 years and I wheeze and cough all night. My chest hurts. My days suck. I love cannabis but the smoke is too much to continue. I’m 27 and probably already have COPD so I guess I should switch to edibles
