I am so very sorry Grandpa, but I beg to differ. A lavatory with NO WATER?…..IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! Unhygienic! Unhealthy and disgusting! Hearing all the horror travel stories of PAL, I wonder why anyone would use this airline at all? With regards to the NUMEROUS complains about Philippine airports with all the thievery, scams, offloading and other shenanigans happening, most of us Filipinos abroad are not so thrilled to travel to the Philippines for now. It seems the Philippine Government is NOT prioritizing finding solutions to these problems anytime soon because it keeps happening! It’s a shame that tourism suffers because nobody in the upper echelon gives a damn. Too bad.😊

I recently flew Philippines Airlines from Manila to Bangkok, I was sceptical at first hearing so many stories,

the flight left on time the crew was professional the snack was okay, The Pilot made one of the smoothest landings I had in a longtime, and the bottom line is we all got there safely .

Few reasons cited are reasons why as much as possible I avoid PAL.
The best so far per experience & POV for ace customer service are: Cathay Pacific (#1)
Asiana (#2)

If there's any European Airlines willing to return to the Philippines I would choose Lufthansa for flights to Europe since PAL isn't keen on flying to Europe particularly in the Schengen Area at airports such as Paris Charles De Gaulle, Frankfurt, Amsterdam. I used to fly with Lufthansa during my past travels to Europe until they ceased in 2008 due to unfavorable playing field, I used to be greeted by the cabin crew with "Gruß Gott" and "Herzliche Willkommen am Bord" as I speak German. These days I have to go to Hong Kong for a connecting flight via Scandinavian Airlines or Finnair where I travel to the Northern Europe.

Pina pahirapan din ba ng PAL immigration ang mga US citizens exiting the country? Panay ang power tripping nila

Phil Air is the bottom of the barrel! I had a flight from Manila to Bangkok 2 hours late! I also had a flight from Manila to LA 5 hours late!! I missed my connection in LA . I would never use Phil Air again. They have a culture of not giving a damn. Honestly the should be shut down.

PAL service sucks and is getting worse due to frequent delayed flights and frequent change of flight schedules!

Washing hands requires water. There is a problem with Philippines Airline, that is normal full up and maintenance.

There is no excuse for no water in the BR …. esp if u consider the price of their plane ticket. They had to bring their culture of no water in the BR even outside of the country

PAL aircrafts seemed to be not well maintained these days like monitors not working on international flight ( lax to manila), lighting fixtures broken. I wonder if these maintenance issues are overlooked during pre flight inspections. I hope PAL would take maintenance issues of aircraft seriously so as not to compromise safety.

I don't like Philippine Airlines because it is not as good as Japanese and Korean Airlines. I don't like American carriers either. If I am going to Japan or Korea, I look at the details for the codeshare to make sure I get ANA, Asiana (for United) or Korean Air (for Delta). Air Canada is just as bad. Back in the eighties, Pan Am was good.

You are one of the best vloggers when it comes to the Philippines but I think you let PAL off too easy. The CR being clean is good but having no water is unacceptable. How are you to wash your hands?
It's also good that they served a meal on the short flight but if the food is not good then why bother?
And you're right about BI.

Metro Manila is having random water interruption, no wonder the aircraft was not loaded with water. Besides, it save fuel for not loading water. Every little things to make the aircraft lighter makes it profitable for the airline. To keep fare low, you have to load it with more passengers and paid cargoes.

PAL is starting to be profitable again, thankfully, but regardles, there's still room to improve its service and upgrade its

I went to Thailand on PH Air great meal on that 3 1/2 hour flight. Very outdated plane. On the way back the meal was so bad I couldn't even eat the bread. Again very outdated plane. Over all both flights were smooth flying

I am scheduled to fly with PAL in June, this time I am going business class because it's an 17hr flight from NYC. I hope to be comfortable.

Philipines Airline is a privately own company, if the owner dont want to lift the service or standard then they going to pay the price. Every foreigners and tourist know the Philipines economy are monopoly, control by big corporation cartels, there is no competition. Since you been to vietnam, you can see the price of vegetable, coffee, foods in the supermarket, on the street, restaurant are far cheaper than Philipine. Philipino pay the same price everything like the US when their average income $10usd/day. who to blame? The big end of town and Philipine corporate world want everyone using Cebu Pacific not Philippine AIrline.
