fun fact: QANTAS started off as the service that provided medical care and transport to hospitals for people living in rural and remote Queensland (which is the Q in QANTAS). Theres a musuem in Longreach, Queensland dedicated to the airline.

In Finland there IS also an airline called Finnair it has not done a crash in about 50years an it IS very sade and good❤

Qantas actually did originally have a write off, but they chose to have the plane repaired in order to preserve their reputation

When there was a Fire Fighter strike somewhere in the US, planes were not allowed to land at a certain airport because there were no fire fighters on standby. Except for Qantas, because they could evacuate a B737 (or something like that) in under 2:30 mins. It was the ONLY airline allowed to land.
