Internal Fuel Pump noise comparison - Walbro vs Deatschwerks

This is just a quick video to demonstrate the noise differences between these two pumps.

After installing the internal fuel module from TanksInc into my 67 Impala tank, which included the Walbro 255 fuel pump, I discovered the Walbro pump was obnoxiously loud.

I looked around and some people with the same issue recommended a Deatschwerks pump. I bought a DW200 (comparable specs to the Walbro). Installed it, and the difference is night and day.

The walbro sounds like a boeing 747 at 35k feet
Minor price to pay for 40-50 years of solid reliability...you can't have it all

Can a really high pitched noise coming from the pump be normal? My 04 Volvo makes that noise if I listen really carefully under the car near the rear pumper. It's pretty quiet and sounds quite similar to the Deatschwerks pump.

So I am guessing that you really like the new pump? I have seen videos on YouTube where the pump is like your first one...

I have a 1967 impala that I am doing a ls swap just like yours. My worry is that the DW pump will make the LS loose performance. Did you notice a performance lost? Anything different besides it being quieter?

Walbro is shite. Putting in a DW200 into my WRX.
