Met Gene Hackman once in a parking lot in Studio City. He had a white Chevy Blazer. Took me a second to recognize him. We talked for a few minutes. He was really '100% present'. Amiable and pleasant. My impression? Coiled menace.

My nephew was breaking in as a young actor, so I asked Gene if he had any pearls i could pass on. He said with a smile, "Yeah, tell him to hit his marks and say his lines." Legend lol
