Did you know? Russell Crowe wouldn't have died in Gladiator if he had a gun

Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?

I like that Cort is shocked to see that he shot the gun, he was ready to die but that drink glass triggered his survival instincts. At that point his body was operating separately from his mind

I can’t get over how young he looks on this film

Gene was a frightening presence in this movie, he really conveyed what a dangerous man Crowe's character was when it was the only time he took a gunfight seriously when they faced off

this movie tanked when it was released with critics giving it a hammering. decades later its become a cult classic considered to be far ahead of its time in both style and framing technique. film makers are only really just catching up now with cgi....

This scene for me was the most emotional. I cried when that guy dropped his beer 😢

The lighting, camera angles and cinematography in this in general is fantastic.

I can't believe this film was panned. I literally can't believe it. The gorgeousness of both Crowe and Stone is practically unbelievable. Hackman is good as always and a grotesque villain. DiCaprio plays a great cocky kid. The machinations are all great. It's one of the best westerns ever. Critics are stupid. Raimi is a superb director, OBVIOUS in the shooting and detail work just in this scene alone. Total master.

Cort mentally was preparing to die by praying but his body was so hardwired it was like breathing for him to draw and fire . I think this was such a deep moment because it forces us to ask the question even if we redeem ourselves our deeds never leave us

One of the best examples of "The lord works in mysterious ways". She rescues a man who was going to be executed the same way her father was slated to die, only to find out later that that man used to ride with the man she's here to get revenge against, a revenge plan that later would have failed if not for the man she rescued.

"His reaction was automatic, instantaneous, inbred. He whirled on his heels while the hands pulled the guns from their holsters, the butts heavy and sure in his hands."

A fabulous directing/editing job from Raimi. That absolute mind focus when it counts the most. Even if you don't want any of it, it's still there.

Excellent western, despite not being popular with the critics. Well worth watching.

You ever feel that?. The tingle. Runs up and down your arm, right to your soul. I never been one to walk away from a fight.

I like to think that Cort is just Ben Wade from 310 to Yuma. I know its not the case but I think it works.

Talk about an allstar cast! The great Gene Hackman shines alongside a young DeCaprio, Crowe, and Sharon Stone! Super entertaining and unique western!

Great movie, characters. It reminds me of Once Upon A Time in The West as that had Charles Bronson as a kid seeing his father Killed by Henry Fonda and the harmonica he stuck in his mouth., With Bronson Seeking revenge against Fonda
