Imagine facing a situation where your anger or jealousy unexpectedly surfaces, threatening to disrupt your relationships and peace of mind. What if, instead of suppressing these feelings, you could understand and transform them into strengths? Welcome to STOIC SIGMA WISDOM, where we delve into the depths of philosophical wisdom. Today, we explore the intriguing insights of Carl Jung and the concept of the 'dark side,' also known as the 'Shadow.' In Jungian philosophy, the Shadow represents the unconscious part of our personality that contains repressed weaknesses, desires, and instincts. While it may seem daunting, embracing this dark side can lead to profound personal growth and self-awareness.

To enrich this discussion, we'll also incorporate Stoic philosophy, which emphasizes rationality, self-control, and the acceptance of all aspects of the human experience. In Stoicism, there's a strong emphasis on understanding and accepting human nature in its entirety, including our flaws and darker impulses. The Stoics believed that self-awareness and rationality are key to leading a virtuous life. By integrating the teachings of Carl Jung and the principles of Stoicism, we can gain a deeper understanding of how acknowledging and embracing our dark side can be a powerful tool for personal growth and self-mastery. So, let's embark on this journey together, exploring how our Shadow can become our ally in achieving a balanced and fulfilling life.

Today I did some shadow work and I would like to share .

I always felt that I was discriminating against people who are obese . If I walk on the street and see people who are obese I won’t make an eye contact. I don’t have any friends that are obese and I have been working very hard to be the person I love. And discriminating against a whole lot of people was something that I was not comfortable with. After my meditation this morning I did the shadow work and I know my behaviour is based on me surviving hunger as a child in a third world country. Then I meditate on more on this and I feel so much different towards that group of people. It’s clear to me how I judged them based on my own experience and not even letting the opportunity to see how depression affected so many of them and that’s why people are obese and so many other respectful reasons I never thought of. All I thought about was me almost dying as a child from malnutrition 😢
Peace hope and love to all ❤
