you might be neurotypical if you think forcing children to give you hugs and kisses is normal, or expecting anyone to give you a hug.

I love how you explain things in your videos and give a fresh perspective on this subject. I'm learning a lot about myself just recently discovering that I and my 15 yr old are on the spectrum. I've dealt with years of low self esteem and feeling like a total outsider. Now that I finally have an answer I feel I can make sense of myself and the world. I'm 38. I am so glad I've found your channel!

You might be neurotypical if you feel the need to throw out comfort objects.
You might be neurotypical if hearing about your favourite thing only makes you neutrally happy, and you know when to stop talking about it.
You might be neurotypical if you find going out and partying to be genuinely enjoyable.
You might be neurotypical if you find yourself unable to understand the joys of stimming.
You might be neurotypical if you, for some reason, find someone's eyes so fascinating during a conversation that you just HAVE to stare at them the entire time.
You might be neurotypical if the only thing that would make you jump, scream, and handflap in excitement, would be to win the lottery. Other positive occurrences don't tend to have that same effect.

(i dont understand how neurotypicals do any of these things, as an autistic all of these things baffle me.)

Excellent video, as always. The last bit about the "you might be neurotypical" really made me laugh hard.

You might be neurotypical if you decide for someone else whether they would like to join a social occasion.

You might be neurotypical if you have no trouble recognizing people and remembering their names, but find accommodating their different communication methods and boundaries difficult- instead of the other way around.

You might be neurotypical if you don't get excited upon discovering a new social rule or cultural difference.

You might be neurotypical if no matter how your day is going, when someone asks how you are, you always answer "fine."

You might be neurotypical if you refuse to make small talk to strangers in an elevator.

Im not sure if your special interest in autism touches this area, but could you do a video explaining the differences in a NT and ND mind? How neurodiversity plays out physiologically in the brain. Or even philosophically how the two brains are wired, their different abilities, and then how that plays out in real life situations. I dont know if i can even communicate what im wanting to learn lol or do you already have a video along these lines?

The problem is that neurotypicals are demanding and are always in a hurry.

You might be neurotypical if you always understand sarcasm.
You might be neurotypical if you can always tell whether someone is joking or being serious.
You might be neurotypical if the words "generalize", "summarize", "talk about the themes", or other such abstract general directions don't make you think, "I have no idea what you're asking me to do".
You might be neurotypical if you can easily introduce yourself to new people and don't have to worry that you'll mess up the first impression.
You might be neurotypical if you feel comfortable in a room full of people you don't know very well.

You might be neurotypical if you think it's fun to randomly come over to someones house.

You might be neurotypical if... you feel the need to rearrange all the furniture a couple times a year.

My mom does this, and it drives me nuts! WHY!

If you own a store / place of shopping and find it necessary to blare loud music at all times because apparently shopping needs a soundtrack, you might be neurotypical.

You might be neuro-typical if a change to your routine doesn’t bring on a full-blown meltdown.

You might be neurotypical if you call people "just to say hi". This has always been confusing to me. Like okay, hello, what now?

You might be neurotypical if you constantly bombard your Instagram profiles with nothing but food posts! I don't care what you ate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day.
Also, thanks for mentioning me in the video! :)

You might be neurotypical if:
- You use strange metaphors and wording to describe something that would probably be quicker to say normally, or the fact that despite the common saying is false.
Example: "Its raining cats and dogs" as opposed to "Its raining heavily." Because when has it ever rained cats and dogs?! Not to mention you get the exact same point across if you just say "Its raining heavily" in less words which takes up less time.
Geez... and they call autisic's weird?
