Really enjoy the channel and the information you give. I just got accepted into Concorde Career College for Radiologic Technology that starts September 16. Keep making videos you are heaven sent.

This is in the US though. In Nigeria and most African countries, nurses are paid way lower.

How much standing and walking compared to sitting do you do as an x-ray tech and MRI/CT tech?

Hey Juan, Im not currently a tech, but I was wondering if techs are usually paid hourly or by salary, especially when there are listings for 50+ an hour (Specifically in CT and MRI modalities)? Also, if they are paid hourly, do you know how likely or common it is for those techs to get overtime pay?
If they are paid salary, are they usually working more than 40 hours a week and weekends?

Thank you!

Is x ray tech the same as radiation tech? From what I understand, x ray requires less than radiation tech, which according to your video, would make sense as to why x ray makes less than nurses right? Rad tech is more like an umbrella term for the imaging specialty itself, so wouldn’t they make close to nurses then?

I'm a dialysis tech. I've done travel and thats where we get paid more. I'm consider going into cardiovascular technologist cath lab. Bro nurses just chill around while every job in healthcare does all the work. I've seen it and experiences it myself. Nurses will always get paid more because they have deep learning in depth of overall health. When you are able to give medication and registerd you gonna get the most money. I feel like its important to go in a field where nurses don't work in so you can get the most money in that department of scope.

If you become a multimodality radiographer, does that mean you decrease your work life balance? Or is it at your discretion? Also, do you get a bump in pay overall or do you get paid depending on which modality you’re working in at that time.

How important is having a JRCERT accreditation when it comes to getting a position at a good hospital as opposed to the other certifications if you still pass your ARRT and get other modality registries like CT and MRI?

That’s just for x ray. There’s mri, ct, mamo, etc. that will increase your pay 5-10 dollars more depending on where you live.

I suspected Nurses probably got paid more but both nurses and xray techs are there to help the patients

Do rad techs have to keep going to college to earn the 24 credits needed every two years? Can you talk about the education needed to maintain accreditation.

I'm curious, when you say rad tech does that include MRI tech and CT tech or are all of these different in pay? And is OT time and a half?
