"I've been in healthcare for over 30 years, most of that in the world of radiology. My crusade for the past four years has been to share the knowledge that I have learned with the next generation. I have posted over 250 articles on my blog and shared almost the same number of videos on this YouTube channel.

It culminates in a book I am writing: The Xray Tech's Survival Guide. This Guide will reveal all of the tips and tricks I have learned by working with radiography school directors, imaging department administrators, CEOs, CFOs, COO, and dozens of other C-Suite and Radiology experts. I share the techniques I have used to mentor hundreds of x-ray tech students, and you can benefit from all of it."

Really inspiring! I never thought about it like that. How docs can do what RNs do but not what we do.

Just seeing this video today.
Hope you can reply me.
Am having serious issues choosing between radiography and BSN.
Am in Nigeria, and a radiolographer can do CT, MRI, ultrasound etc. And they are paid awesomely like double compared to nurses and I believe it's due to the job hazard.
I also plan on relocating to us or Canada.
My fear wit rad is the radiation.
I feel that it can cause me some health problem like cancer.
And nursing is diverse and have lots of career progression tho they are poorly paid.
Please any idea personally which one I can go for.
Is it that dangerous especially in tropical countries where even lead aprons are not provided and they have thousands of patients per day

A hospital can run with a handful of x-ray techs but require a significant amount of nurses to maintain daily operations. Also, stating that a doctor can do a nurse's is the same as saying a staff nurse can do a doctor's job. Neither are qualified to do eachother's job. In terms of career progression it's not even close. Nursing education can span from an associates up to a doctoral level, whereas x-ray techs are not even required a license in some cities. Comparing the two paths is apples and oranges.
