In this video I will walk you through how to make your GNOME Desktop look like Windows 11. If I find a way to make it look even more like Win 11, I'll post a new updated video on that.

How to make Ubuntu look like Windows 11, Win 11, Windows. Although I am using Ubuntu 22.04, any Linux OS with GNOME will work. This video is meant to make GNOME LOOK like Windows 11, but not necessarily act like it. I might create a video in the future on how to make it act more like Windows. Anyway, this video will include installing a Windows 11 theme on Ubuntu Jammy Jellyfish, or your Linux Distro. This video will also help you learn more about the GNOME Shell and GNOME Customization to make it look more like Windows.

Great job! I knew KDE is highly customizable out of the box without any additional tweaking packages installed, but these Gnome extensions are almost on par. Thanks for sharing

I managed some of the things myself but there were other things I was having trouble working out, and found this online it helped me to actually get Ubuntu to a point where I may actually like Ubuntu for once as I have never really like the standard Ubuntu, I didn't want it to look exactly like windows 11 such as the start menu but if everything works how I want on this I may have finally jumped from windows, but time will tell.

this is very helpful, I did a ubuntu install on an unused pc in the office with a 2nd generation processor and 2GB RAM. people are very happy when they know that the pc is still usable and they are still easy to use because they are windows users since birth. this can be a good way to tell people that linux is also easy to use.

Honestly, you killed the video! Great job! I'm still having some troubles getting the font to work. It doesn't see the segoe package. One tip for you, the screen was a little bit fuzzy so it was hard to see the author of the packages you were installing. You mentioned the name on several which made it super easy but didn't say it on others so I had to zoom in so I could read it. Just a thought for next video. Can't wait!! Good job again!

How do you change the sounds to windows?

The font will not work for me. Installed it, but it doesn't show on the font list. Also, the clock format is 24 hour, not AM/PM. It's set to AM/PM in the settings, but only shows 24 hour. I thought that it was the Date Formatter extension that wouldn't allow the clock to be AM/PM, but it changed to 24 hour clock before I installed the Date extension. On second thought, it is the Date Formatter extension. If it's enabled, the clock will change to the 24 hour format. Tried it on Debian 12 and Ubuntu 22.04.

Got the time format right. If you change MM/dd/yy\nHH : mm aa to MM/dd/yy\nhh : mm aa you gt the AM/PM format.
