When you have identical twins, they are monozygotic, meaning they are formed from one single zygote. Identical twins also share the same DNA and thats why they always look identical to each other. When you have fraternal twins, they are dizygotic, meaning they are formed from 2 individual zygotes. The DNA of dizygotic twins is often unique to each sibling. I was in the same class as Fraternal Twins, it was a boy and a girl and what was crazy was that they had older siblings that were 1 year older Fraternal Twins, a boy and girl also. 2 sets of twins in 1 family. My schools tuition was about 25k a year now multiply that times 4 at 12 years.

My dyzygotic twins are 42, both males. There weren’t home computers in the early 80s, so I had to wing it on info. Probably a little late to be learning this was all on my side, but it’s always good to learn something new. One’s tall, one’s shorter. One’s more shy, the other gregarious.Both kind and loving and although I was only 28 when discovered we’d be having two in the 8th month, every day I count myself greatly blessed. Their older brother lamented that he hadn’t been given a twin when he saw how much fun they had together. It all turned out well. All three are friends as men today.
