The fact that this show started off as a boy and his dog going on adventures and telling poop jokes and ended up having a backstory about a post nuclear war earth is crazy

in my opinion, adventure time was one of the very few shows that actually understood that they're main audience would be growing up and tried to mature the storyline w them.
i remember always being able to bare watching adventure time all the way until it's last episode.

I personally find it really interesting how Prismo grants wishes. When you wish for something big like “all people dead” or “no magic” it won’t just poof those wishes into existence, instead Prismo creates an entire ALTERNATE DIMENSION that’s exactly the same as your dimension but with alterations made to make your wish possible, so instead of poofing magic away since it’s a fundamental part of that universe, he orchestrated events to make it so that there wouldn’t be any noticeable trace of it until the reality starts being traveled through. The Lich’s wish was probably the same way, likely creating a dimension where the Mushroom War ended up killing all life on the planet as a result of the Fallout instead of the weird magic radioactive life we see in the show

It’s just a fascinating little Monkey’s Paw style way of granting wishes and I love it

Correction, Betty stayed behind true, but she didn't wish to be Golb. She wished Golb to perish but the crown couldn't do such a heavy wish so she instead wished for the power to keep Simon safe. So the crown transformed her *_into_* Golb. Little details but still...

adventure time is my absolute favorite and most important piece of media in my life. I grew up side by side with finn and i watched the whole world, the story, the characters, everything, mature, and that’s beautiful.

Dam, this show really was a masterpiece and also really strange at the same time. Its also crazy that it has 10 seasons + 4 movies (i guess). This speedrun gave me a lot of nostalgia and i am happy about it. Great job Ferret! Have a great day!

20. Finn in The Finn Sword gets turned into Fern because Finn accidentally stabbed it while dueling with Thief Princess. Fern also gets rid of The Curse after killing The Grass Squid who latched onto him (which also leads to his death because his grass body cannot suntain itself if The Squid died)

Demon Blood Sword that got inherited from Joshua, sucked by The Demon that Joshua locked away, who kidnapped, locked, and sucked Jake away (he turned his blood into Joshua's Hat to mock Jake who he thinks is Joshua), Finn then kills The Demon by making it suck a Replica Demon Blood Sword that was made by Holy Grape Juice blessed by The Worm living in Jake's Violin (He's a Priest btw)
22. The Rainicorn/Dog War was started because Rainicorns were eating The Last of The Humans which upsetted The Dogs because they were "Man's Best Friend"

24. Cinnamon Bun getting character development from being a Candy Kingdom Goof to a Badass Fire Kingdom Knight with his own pet Fire Dog
25. Nellie, PB's Gum Dragon Sister is kept below Candy Kingdom and is the source of The Syrup River. They're both born from The Mother Gum (which MAY be Finn in a Previous Life, some theorists suggest)
26. Fire King gets a Redemption Arc after he ran away from The Fire Kingdom and became King of The Squirrels (Markiplier?)
27. Germaine, Jake's Dog Brother still lives in their old house and protects Joshua's (Stolen) Demon Treasures before being set free by Finn and Jake who basically just entered his house for a visit and then made him so angry that he blew it up or smth (I forgor💀)
28. Marceline's Mom dated Hansen Abadeer. That's how Marceline was born and has the power to steal souls (she was a demon not a vampire originally).
29. After being defeated and coated in some goo during the space prison episode (I forgot what kinda goo) the Lich or at least a part of him turns into a giant horned baby which the gang decided to send off to Treetrunks' house where he adjusted to being a normal baby and got named "Sweetpea" (he still has visions of being Lich but he got over it)
30. Minor but Finn had a fling with Huntress wizard but that never went anywhere besides a kiss (though it's implied in Fionna and Cake that they did get together in different timelines, specifically the farmworld universe)

Thank you for making such a fun and detailed summary of this show. I stopped watching it a while back and every time I tried to understand the story/timeline it got super confusing. I cried when Jake and Finn got reincarnated together. They may be gone but adventures will never end.

One of the funniest scenes I broke down laughing at was when Finn and Jake and hiding inside Marceline's home and Jake gets bit by the spider. His silent scream of agony killed me xD

Been watching this show with my girlfriend. I never experienced Adventure Time as a kid and she showed it to me about a year and a half ago. We’ve been savoring it and just got to the final season. I’m gonna be sad when we finish it but holy hell, watching it makes me happy and fills me with an odd sense of nostalgia despite never having witnessed it back when it was still running.
